Except for walking over to the dumpster to throw some trash away, and then going out again to close our gray water valve so I can dump our black tank and rinse out the sewer hose today, I never left the motorhome all day yesterday. In fact, I seldom left my desk except for potty breaks and a delicious dinner of Terry’s homemade pizza.
By the time I knocked off at 11 last night so I could get the blog written, I had one page to go in the new issue of the Gypsy Journal. I’ll get it wrapped up today and then print it out for Terry to proof read, then I’ll make the corrections and send it off to the printer tomorrow. It will be good to have that task behind me.
Once the paper is finished I plan to take a mini vacation and goof off for a day or so before I jump back into my new book. After 100 degree temperatures over the weekend, it’s supposed to drop down into the upper 90s, which is still far from cool. We’re due to leave here on Thursday, but we may hang around a couple of days longer before we hit the road. It only costs us $5 a day here with our Thousand Trails membership, so it’s cheap camping.
Our next stop will be Reno, where we have an appointment at Cummins Coach Care on June 9th for some routine service on our motorhome, and where the new issue of the paper will be shipped. It looks like it will be close to twenty degrees cooler there, which will be nice.
And from there we’ll be headed toward the Oregon coast, where it’s definitely going to be cooler! And beautiful. We’re really looking forward to getting there. In my opinion, there is no more beautiful place in the country.
